I hosted the first Ivory Coast Trade and Investment Summit.
In attendance were the current and former Minister of State for Africa, the Ivorian Ambassador to the UK and 30 Ivorian businesses. I needed to build rapport immediately.

I told the audience that I have a confession to make I am not Ivorian, when I was born I asked god to send me to Ivory Coast, but as I was hurtling down from heaven, the British and French created a fictitious boarder. I tried to alter course, but I ended up being a Ghanaian. The room erupted in laughter. I had them in the palm of my hand.
